It was fun while it lasted, back to the bay I go! Nice seeing all the ladies who came up to say hi, happy pride y’all!

A friend from high school came through my work. We exchanged, “hi, how are you’s,” then she told me she was engaged. I congratulated her, she asked me when I was going to get married and start a family, I looked at her and said, “not for a while,” and smiled. She went on and asked if I was seeing anyone serious, I said, “no, haven’t had much luck with that.” She said, “why? You’re so pretty, put yourself out there! We’re not getting any younger!” I looked at her and said, “honestly, I feel young, I feel like right now is the best time to build myself for myself and not have to worry about anything, but myself. I get to travel the world, party until 6 in the morning and spend money on bullshit. I’m pretty sure Misses right will come along somewhere in the middle of it all, I put myself out there enough by just being me.” She looked at me and said, “I love your confidence, I’ve always loved that about you.” Told me it was great seeing me and to take care. I stood there and smiled. Today, I realized that I’m happy with being content.
